If you are at or near the traditional age of retirement, this series of blogs is for you.
I’ve made a study of what it takes to ensure a rich full and satisfying 2nd chapter of life. In these blogs I’ll be sharing the insights I’ve gained with the hopes they will be of benefit to you.

Creating a vision for our future.
If we were to set out to build, a house, a garden or anything the first thing we would need is a clear vision of the final outcome. This is as true for us in designing the next chapter of our lives.
The vision by itself is not enough; we need to set the goals along with actions that will make our vision a reality.
I suggest that you join me in setting a goal for the next 90 days to get us started to create a life worth living.
All we need to do is take one step at a time. In my case that is literally true. My vision for my future is to be well, healthy and physically fit during this 2nd half of my life. So, I’ve set goals in the areas of health, wellness and fitness. I’m starting a walking program and I’ve committed to and holding myself accountable by reporting to, Patricia, my wife, best friend and partner. I’ve developed a presumé (A 90-day description of how my life will look and how I’ll feel after applying these tools from my first book, “Build Your Dream: 12 Essential Tools for Successful Living” I have a clear vision of the worthwhile goal I’ve set for the next 90 days.
I am reminding myself that my happiness is as a result of not trading what I want at the moment for what I want most.
Other possible areas one might focus on are: Career, Family, Education, Financial, Personal, Social, Spiritual, Community, or Leisure.
I hope you’ll select an area for yourself, have a vision of what success will look like in 90 days and have a person to whom you’ll hold yourself accountable.
